We're currently planning a super awesome vacation with Wes' family for this summer. Complete with scuba diving, surfing and sunshine. We're planning to lay down some pretty serious cash for said awesomeness. Here's the deal. We've been married for 7 years and I've never purchased a lick of furniture. All that we have has been given to us. I fully admit to being a cheapskate as well as having an obsession with paying stuff off, like cars. I complain frequently about not having nice furniture, but I think it's my own complex in the end. I am afraid to buy furniture, because then it will say something about me. Mostly that I can't decorate to save my life. A few months ago Jessica came over and told me what pictures to put where, just so I had something on my walls. In the end I think my psyche would rather spend a large sum of money on a vacation for things I can commit to loving: family, sunshine, water; than commit to furniture that I'll have to look at everyday and wonder if it was really what I wanted. Did I settle because of the price? Is it really the right color? Should I really buy furniture at this juncture anyway, or wait until there are no longer babies in my house?
If you've ever been to the mall with me you'll know this is a true problem. I want to buy something. I sort of have something in mind. I kind of find the thing that's the most similar to what's in my head. I try it on and it looks good. But it's not perfect. So, we scour the entire mall and we don't find anything else. But we also don't end up getting the thing that looked good, because it's just not right. We leave. You're frustrated with me, and I'm disappointed. Let's also throw into the mix that there's a certain price involved as well. There's a limit that I'm unwilling to spend on things. I won't spend more than $40 on a pair of jeans, for instance. So, even if it was perfect, if it exceeded my limit, I won't get it.
My self-confidence is spiralling today.

10 Pounds
There are several women in my life that I love very much who are all unsuccessfully trying to lose 10 pounds. I think they look fantastic how they are, but they are apparently not satisfied. So I made a new blog andyjills10pounds.blogspot.com. You maybe distrubed by what you find there, so only go if you know that this was meant for you.
Happy Birthday Wesley!!
Today you are 32. (For the record I am much younger than Wes; he robbed the cradle as it were.) I am daily grateful that I married you. You were the right man for the job. Maybe someday I'll reach full adulthood because of your guiding influence. And maybe someday you'll chill out.
Ok, I've been working on sappy up until now and I just can't get past the sarcasm that we share. So, let me quote a former present to dredge up the remance; "All the dreams I prayed you'd be are all the things you are. You were once my little boy and now my shining star." Happy Birthday, Honey. I love you.

Really Cool Stuff You Don't Learn In School
Wes and I have been watching the HBO John Adams miniseries. It was very interesting starting with the Boston Massacre and ending with his death. First of all, did you know that John Adams was the defense attorney for the British soldiers following the Boston Massacre? I thought it was surprising because he was so passionate and influential to the colonies separating from England. Really, my jaw hung in awe that not only were he and Thomas Jefferson really good friends, but the both died the same day July 4, 1826. Fifty years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. That is the kind of trivia I never would have forgotten if someone in my supposedly superior AP US History class would have mentioned.

Mommy-itis
I suppose I should be flattered. Or living it up that no one else can do it for him. I can't handle it. Why on Earth can't his dad get him breakfast? Not that Wes isn't willing and/or capable. He's a great husband and dad, but he's just not cutting it. I really need for Dylan to let someone else take care of him now and then. Bllllleeeehhhhh!!!! How long does this usually last? Is Dylan going through this later than most kids? I'm feeling really bad for Luisa right now if her twins do this at the same time. I mean, I know I'm an awesome fun mom, but that's going to take a turn for the worse if it doesn't stop soon. I don't work again for more than a month. There's no escape. And why can't they make brown dress shoes in a toddler size 5? Also, Dylan has had shoes for less than a week and worn a hole through the toe from crawling on the cement.
He's a cute kid. I love him. I wouldn't trade him for anything.
Addendum: It was really just an ear infecion. Now that he's on antibiotics, he's cool with everyone again. Someday I'll learn that when he take really bad naps, he's sick. I guess instead of whining I should be sent to Mommy Bootcamp where they remind you of the signs of a sick kiddo.

My Own Hot Guy
Foreign Hot Guys that Wield Swords
This is the new list meant to go out tomorrow, but I only have 1 patient. So, I'm jumping the gun a little. Really, there were some guys we wanted on our last list and couldn't justify it, so we made one they could get on. So, in no particular order I give you: Foreign Hot Guys that Wield Swords.
Jason Statham
Craig Horner

Clive Owen

Gerard Butler

Antonio Banderas

Daniel Craig

Sean Connery

Karl Urban

Ioan Gruffudd

Eric Bana

Note: Orlando Bloom is not on this list. He's foreign and wields a sword, but he's a sissy.

Wentworth Miller- not sure if he dances, but he does sing
Sean Connery- he's been in a musical, we're counting it
Patrick Stewart- ditto from above

Mel Gibson- US born, but raised in Australia

We really want to add Clive Owen, Jason Statham, and Daniel Craig, but they really don't sing or dance, but they are foreign and hot.

Hot Musically Inclined Foreign Guys
So whenever I'm at work, and it slows down (as is common when I'm here), we tend to make lists of hot guys. The list this today is hot foreign guys who can sing and dance. We haven't ranked them and we're not sure we can. So in no particular order we have...
Antonio Bandaras
Hugh Jackman
Gerard Butler
Christian Bale
kind of Heath Ledger, but he's dead
maybe Ewan McGregor (he's not very hot)
Is there anyone we could add to the list? The criteria is very specific, so it's our shortest list ever.
