Really Cool Stuff You Don't Learn In School

Wes and I have been watching the HBO John Adams miniseries. It was very interesting starting with the Boston Massacre and ending with his death. First of all, did you know that John Adams was the defense attorney for the British soldiers following the Boston Massacre? I thought it was surprising because he was so passionate and influential to the colonies separating from England. Really, my jaw hung in awe that not only were he and Thomas Jefferson really good friends, but the both died the same day July 4, 1826. Fifty years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. That is the kind of trivia I never would have forgotten if someone in my supposedly superior AP US History class would have mentioned.

I am really responding to your mommy-itis post. I just didn't want you to miss it. ANDREA!! I forget how much I love you. I love love love how honest and for real you are. I so feel for you on this. When kids are sick they are so not themselves and its so hard to be nice to them esp in the middle of the night. Sometimes I would literally turn on the light so I could see how dang cute they were cuz pretty sure I wanted to throw them across the room.
My twins have had 5 ear infections ALWAYS together at the same time this last winter. And honestly you just handle it. Imagining handling it is always always worse than actually handling it. You are a great mom and you feeling this way is so normal. You just say outloud what others keep inside.
And thanks for the mention in this post. I am completely honored.

If you can pull through a couple of slow spots, the actual book by David McCoullough is truly AWESOME!
