Team Sorting

We did another sorting event last night at the Golden Spike Arena. I got to ride my beautiful black horse as you can see. Isn't he a handsome beast? I feel like I just look prettier when I'm on him; like when we're cantering around the arena with my hair flying behind me. That's why my hair's curled today. We got home so late and had to get up early for church, so there was no time to wash all the dust out of my hair. It looked like a snarly horse tail, but I digress. I rode with Wes and had the satisfaction of him being disgruntled about not being the best at something. He's read all about horses so knows how to ride in theory, but has only been on a horse a handful of times. If you think he's walking a little funny today it's because he tries so hard to control the horse that all his muscles are tensed all the time. You could say he rides on the horse, but not with the horse.

This is Tiffany and Cindy who I do the horse therapy with. Cindy ended up winning one of the rounds in 42 something seconds. On the last run we're pretty sure Tiffany and Cindy finished in time, bt they said they didn't.Wes and I also finished in time, but they said that we didn't. Which was pretty good considering one of the cow's head got stuck in the fence while Wes was trying to drive him through. And I was kicking my horse as hard as I could, but I didn't have any spurs that fit me. I would really like some spurs. It was freezing, but I'm going to do it again on Feb 7th, the last one of the season.:(

Looks like fun. Man its been a long time since I've been on a horse. I think I would be really nervous. Good job.

Lucky, getting to horseback ride for work (that is how I understand it anyway). I sure missed seeing you but it looks like I have the opportunity again coming up in February if you come to Chad's wedding or are just around because I will be there for 2 weeks total! Hope to see you.

You look awesome on that black beauty, and Wes just needs more experience. I give him full credit for trying and succeeding. Brave, that's the word I would use.

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I want to print my resolutions on my side bar. like you did so I can see them everytime I get on.

HA! I only wish she was getting paid for it!

That sounds more bitter than I am. :)

I've gotten riding tips from a horse trainer, and could probably get more lessons if I weren't too lazy to drive to Farmington once a week.

We get to ride very good horses at events like this.

Andrea really might end up with that black horse.

I have a 25% chance of getting a free horse. Depending on the color of the foal, If it's the color Cindy doesn't want (but I think is awesome) I might get it.

There was the horse breeding thing we tried last year. An expensive stud fee, essentially just given to us.

Lot's of cool stuff goes along with Andrea's therapy gig, but money aint one of them. Ha!
